But I think it has to be something else than just non-use of the card. I had a $2800 credit limit on one of my cards. I don’t use it and my limit was lowered to $400. Synchrony also lowered my limit to my then current balance which was 1/8th of the previous credit limit on JC Penney and cancelled my Lowes card directly after I paid it off. A credit score is lowered when you have too much available credit so Synchrony lowers your credit limit to make you max out the card which now lowers your credit score. A credit card from Synchrony will operate on the Visa or MasterCard network as signified on the card.
